Let us acknowledge the Coast Miwok people, on whose traditional territory the EarthRise Retreat Center is located. We acknowledge their leaders, past present and emerging. We encourage you to visit the website of The Federated Indians of Graton Rancheria, a federation of Coast Miwok and Southern Pomo groups recognized as a tribe by the U.S. Congress. Please make sure to read about the history of the Graton Rancheria Indians, especially the efforts made by the U.S. government to terminate their tribal identity which they only regained in 2000.

How to use:
Click "add" if you are a driver with room in your car. Make sure to fill out your contact information completely in the form provided.
If you are looking for a ride and you see a car with space on the site that you think would be a nice fit, for example, they are in Berkeley and you are able to meet them there, then click the car's details just below the name.
The details often include important notes like "I can meet riders in Oakland." Use their contact information to shoot them an email message and check in before joining their car. Once you both communicate and agree then you can join their car on the site by clicking JOIN.
As we often have folks who need a ride either into or out of Dandelion, but not both, or who opt to ride in with one person, but out with another, this year’s carpool sign up has columns for both ‘Departing Trip’ and ‘Return Trip’. If you plan to ride into and out of Dandelion with the same person, please be sure to add yourself to both columns.
If you are looking for a ride and none are available, or if you are waiting to hear back from a driver, use the fifth column (Waiting List) to add your name and fill out the boxes.
Venue
Dandelion 2019 will be held at the EarthRise Retreat Center at the Institute of Noetic Sciences in Petaluma, CA.
We recommend checking out the EarthRise Guestbook, a PDF with a lot of useful information about the venue.
Accessibility
If you have questions about accessibility at Dandelion, please contact us here. The facility is on mostly flat, paved grounds. It is an approximately 0.25 mile walk from most sleeping rooms to the Dining Hall and parking lot. There are wheelchair accessible and ground level sleeping rooms that will be reserved for those who have indicated their need. We will be asking questions about specific accessibility needs at registration so that we can meet needs.
Please see the map below for sense of how the campus is laid out.
Sleeping Accommodations
EarthRise at IONS accommodates 100+ overnight guests in eight buildings. All housing accommodations are situated near to one another, and are located next to the West Room and are a 0.25m walk from the dining hall and other meeting rooms on mostly flat, paved ground. The housing is described as modest and simple. Single and shared rooms are available; most rooms have two twin beds, some have one full/queen bed. The bathrooms in each building are located in the hallway and shared with other guests. Bedding, linens, and towels are provided.
Food
From the EarthRise website:
The dining hall at EarthRise provides indoor seating for groups of up to 90, with additional outdoor seating expanding our total meal capacity to 120 guests most of the year. Local ingredients are the inspiration for our cooking and include luscious organic fruits and vegetables, free range poultry, hormone-free meat and dairy products, and extraordinary cheeses. We use organic produce from local farmers and our own permaculture garden whenever possible. Our chef draws upon flavors and techniques from around the world to create a diverse cuisine with alluring flavors.
The kitchen staff at EarthRise will be working with us to create options for omnivores, vegetarians and vegans, and those who are gluten free. You will be able to note your requirements during registration.
Meeting Spaces
Numerous meeting spaces welcome both formal and informal gatherings. Five indoor meeting rooms accommodate groups of 5 to 120 and can easily be configured for yoga and movement activities. All indoor spaces are air-conditioned and heated. The largest room, the West Room, is right next to where we will be sleeping and features a beautiful deck. You can see the meeting spaces at this link.
The Land
Connection with the land is fostered through hiking trails on the 194 acres of rolling hills, a beautiful natural oak glade used for outdoor meeting space and group ceremony, a small permaculture garden and multiple sitting areas for quiet contemplation. A beautiful meditative labyrinth made of river stones lies high on the hill overlooking the valley below.
